Unitron hearing aids

The Unitron hearing aid brand began in 1964 and has since grown to become one of the leading developers and manufacturers of hearing aids. Owned by the Sonova Group, which also owns the Phonak hearing aid brand, the group supplies hearing aids and accessories to more than 70 countries. Unitron’s UK headquarters are in Warrington, Cheshire, where the company manufactures all of its custom in-ear hearing aid products.

Since Unitron was founded, the brand has focused on its customer relationship and making the user experience as simple and stress-free as possible. The brand sells nearly 20 hearing aid devices and a broad range of accessories to support them. Unitron products are available as behind-the-ear (BTE), in-the-ear (ITE) and receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids and are divided into five levels that showcase Unitron's unique hearing aid technology such as Log It All and the FlexTrial concept. The company’s design philosophy puts the needs of the hearing-aid user at the heart of its award-winning products and drives the brand’s ongoing innovations in creating a top-level hearing aid user experience.

Unitron hearing aid reviews

  • Unitron’s range of Moxi hearing aids includes the Moxi Jump and Moxi Fit hearing aids. These are receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing devices that are available across all technology levels. Depending on your choice of technology level, Unitron’s Moxi hearing aids feature:
  • Wireless Bluetooth streaming
  • Unitron’s Log It All App that stores hearing aid sounds on your smartphone
  • SoundCore technology and binaural processing

Unitron Moxi Jump

The Moxi Jump hearing aid comes in a choice of 10 colours with a built-in push-button that enables you to make changes to the hearing aid’s settings and volume. It also has a rechargeable battery and telecoil so you can hear phone conversations clearly by amplifying the sounds you want to hear rather than ambient sounds you don’t want to listen to. The hearing aid uses Sonova’s Sword chip 3.0, which is the very latest wireless chip technology for advanced hearing aids.

Unitron Moxi Fit

The Moxi Fit is a comparatively small RIC hearing aid that uses 312 non-rechargeable batteries. It comes in a choice of 10 to 12 colours with a push-button built-in to the device to make it easy for you to make changes to the hearing aid volume and access features such as Bluetooth connectivity or Telecoil. Moxi Fit hearing aids use one of Unitron’s three hearing platforms, Discover, North and Tempus. The devices using the Tempus and North platforms, for example, will have a Teleocoil hearing loop system, but not be Bluetooth enabled. The Moxi Fit hearing aids that utilise the Discover platform meanwhile, do include Bluetooth but don’t have Telecoil. Moxi Fit hearing aids don’t come with both features.
