Signia Silk

Signia is the latest brand to come from the Singapore-based Sivantos Group, a leading hearing aid company. Binax technology created the foundation for Signia’s debut model the primax.

Signia has been able to build on advanced hearing aid technology, such as the Binax hearing aid platform that replicates the effects of binaural hearing. This enables the hearing aid wearer to benefit from hearing in both ears that outperforms normal hearing in challenging noise environments. Signia has subsequently launched several hearing aids on the primax platform, including the Signia Silk primax, the world’s first ready-to-wear, custom completely-in-canal (CIC) hearing aid that becomes invisible when worn. To remotely control the hearing aids features a mobile app, the Signia App, is available.

Signia Silk reviews

The Silk hearing aid is available in three technology levels: 3px, 5px, and 7px (offering the highest performance). It is suitable for people with mild to moderate hearing loss and is a comfortable and discreet hearing aid that fits almost every ear. The most significant feature of the Signia Silk hearing aids range is its small size, which makes them almost invisible when placed in the ear. Despite their size, Signia Silk hearing aids do not lack any of the technology you will find in Signia’s other devices. With its soft-silicon Click Sleeves that mould to the shape of your ear canal, the Silk enables hearing aid users to avoid the traditional custom-fitting process and you can take the hearing aids home immediately.

Features

Signia offers high-end features across its hearing aids, including its Silk range. At the core of the Silk devices is Signia’s Xperience Technology, a platform that Signia has designed to power its range of features, which include:

  • Binaural OneMic directionality lets you focus on the sounds you want to hear while canceling out unwanted background noise
  • Wireless streaming with Bluetooth compatible devices
  • SpeechMaster balances noise reduction, directionality, and steering amplification while also improving speech recognition and minimizing listening effort
  • Notch Therapy can reduce the effects of tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
  • SoundSmoothing softens loud, sharp sounds
  • EchoShield removes reverberations and reduces listening effort
  • HD Music offers three settings to enhance your music listening experience

Accessories

The Signia Silk works with a variety of accessories and apps to boost your listening experience, including:

  • easyTek: A small, lightweight remote control and audio streamer worn around your neck that connects Signia Silk hearing aids to Bluetooth that allows you to wirelessly stream music, phone calls, and other media from your smartphone and other compatible devices directly to your hearing aids
  • VoiceLink: VoiceLink uses a microphone to amplify speakers’ voices so you can actively participate in conversations even in the noisiest environments
  • touchControl: This app can be downloaded onto your Android device or iPhone and acts just like a hearing aid remote control to enable you to discreetly control your hearing aids features with just a few taps on your phone
  • EasyPocket and miniPocket: The miniPocket is a remote control that can fit on a keyring that allows you to discreetly control your hearing aids. The easyPocket has an easy to read display and large buttons so you can quickly and easily adjust your hearing aids
