Audien Atom Pro Hearing Aids: reviews

The Audien Atom Pro 2 hearing aids are compact, rechargeable over-the-counter devices designed for U.S. adults with perceived mild-to-moderate hearing loss. Positioned as a simple and budget-friendly alternative to many prescription hearing aids, the Atom Pro 2 combines discreet in-ear styling with straightforward controls and several preset listening options for different everyday environments.

Users can choose among modes for conversation, restaurants, TV, and outdoor situations, while Audien’s A2 sound chip and background-noise reduction are designed to support clearer listening and reduce unwanted sound.

One of the model’s most distinctive features is its portable charging case with built-in UV cleaning, which allows the hearing aids to recharge while also helping keep them sanitized.

The Atom Pro 2 does not rely on a smartphone app or Bluetooth streaming, making it better suited to people who prefer simple, device-based controls rather than connected features.

In the U.S., the Atom Pro 2 is sold as an OTC hearing aid, meaning it can be purchased without a prescription or professional fitting. It is also rechargeable, helping users avoid disposable battery costs.

Overall, the Audien Atom Pro 2 focuses on affordability, portability, simple sound adjustment, and everyday convenience for consumers looking for an accessible entry-level hearing solution

Audien Atom X and One: things to know

The Audien Atom X and Audien Atom One OTC hearing aids target different ends of Audien’s U.S. lineup. The Atom One is the simpler, lower-cost option, currently listed by Audien at $98 per pair, while the more advanced Audien Atom X costs $389 per pair. Both are sold directly to consumers as OTC hearing aids and come with a 45-day risk-free trial.

The Audien Atom One OTC hearing aids use a small in-ear design and emphasize simplicity. Audien says they provide up to 24 hours of battery life and include an adjustable frequency system so users can change the sound balance to better suit different voices and listening preferences. The package includes a charging case, USB-C cable, cleaning brush, and multiple replacement ear tips.

The Audien Atom X adds considerably more technology. Its standout feature is CaseControl, a touchscreen built into the charging case. From the case, users can choose among Comfort, Conversation, Crowd, and TV modes, adjust volume from 1 to 10, check battery status, and control Bluetooth without needing a smartphone app. Audien specifies more than 48 hours of total battery life with the case, background-noise cancellation, the A2 MAX sound chip, and Bluetooth for streaming music and taking calls.

Independent HearingTracker testing gave the Atom X 3.6/5, praising the innovative touchscreen case and long battery life but finding speech clarity—especially in noise—less competitive than some other OTC options.

In short, Atom One prioritizes affordability and basic amplification, while Atom X adds Bluetooth, multiple listening modes, and easier touchscreen controls.

Audien Atom Pro 2 reviews from users and experts

Audien Atom Pro 2 reviews present a mixed picture, with affordability and simplicity standing out as major strengths while speech clarity remains the main limitation. In the U.S., Audien currently lists the Atom Pro 2 at $289 per pair, with four listening modes, rechargeable operation, background-noise reduction, a portable charging case, and built-in UV cleaning.

Independent expert testing provides useful context for an Audien Atom Pro 2 review. HearAdvisor awarded the device a 3.3/5 SoundScore and Grade B in September 2026. Feedback control was excellent at 5.0/5, but speech performance was weaker: 2.3/5 in quiet and 1.3/5 in noise. HearAdvisor also notes that Atom Pro 2 does not support Bluetooth music streaming.

User feedback is broader and more varied. Walmart currently shows more than 10,000 reviews for the product. Verified purchasers frequently praise its low price, easy setup, rechargeable design, and basic amplification. Some users, however, mention fit challenges, an unnatural perception of their own voice, or inconsistent results depending on hearing needs.

People searching for Audien Atom Pro 2 Reddit discussions should treat them as anecdotal rather than controlled evidence. One recent Reddit user reported clearer speech and TV listening in quiet settings but found performance less convincing in crowded environments, while also noting that proper dome fit affected feedback and sound quality.

Overall, Audien Atom Pro 2 OTC rechargeable hearing aids reviews suggest that the model works best as a budget-oriented, straightforward option for basic amplification. Expert testing indicates that buyers who need stronger speech understanding in noisy places may benefit from comparing more advanced OTC alternatives.

Audien Atom Pro 2 reviews and complaints

Audien Atom Pro 2 reviews and complaints show a clear split between users who appreciate the low price and simplicity and others who report problems with fit, sound quality, durability, or customer service. Audien currently sells the Atom Pro 2 for $289 per pair and includes a 45-day money-back guarantee, free U.S. shipping, and lifetime support.

Independent testing is relatively cautious. HearingTracker gives the Atom Pro 2 an overall score of 3.6/5, describing it as affordable and easy to use with strong battery life, but noting weak speech clarity, especially in noisy environments. Its own small pool of user reviews is much more negative, with complaints about feedback, uncomfortable fit, and poor sound quality.

Walmart provides a much larger customer sample, with more than 10,000 reviews. Verified buyers frequently mention good value, easy use, and acceptable amplification for the price. At the same time, individual users also report issues such as overly loud perception of their own voice, fit concerns, and variable sound quality.

Broader Audien complaints should also be considered. The Better Business Bureau currently lists 533 complaints over the past three years, including 306 product issues and 135 service or repair issues. Recent cases mention delayed refunds, difficulty obtaining replacements, and devices failing after relatively short periods. However, these complaints apply to Audien as a company, not exclusively to Atom Pro 2. BBB also gives Audien an A+ rating, while customer reviews average 4.5/5 from 1,588 reviews.

Overall, Atom Pro 2 appears strongest for buyers prioritizing affordability and simple amplification, while complaints most often center on fit, feedback, durability, and after-sales service.

Audien hearing Atom Pro 2 OTC hearing aids

The Audien Hearing Atom Pro 2 OTC hearing aids are compact, rechargeable in-ear devices sold in the United States for adults seeking an over-the-counter hearing solution. Audien currently prices the Atom Pro 2 at $289 per pair, including free U.S. ground shipping and a 45-day risk-free trial. The company also includes one complimentary 30-minute appointment with an Audien hearing specialist.

A central feature is the A2 sound chip, which Audien says processes sound dynamically as the listening environment changes. Users can choose among four preset listening modes—Conversation, Restaurant, TV, and Outdoor—rather than relying on a smartphone app or professional programming.

The Atom Pro 2 also includes background-noise cancellation. According to Audien, this technology reduces distracting environmental sounds and helps control whistling or acoustic feedback. Because this is a manufacturer claim, individual performance may differ depending on hearing loss, fit, and listening environment.

Another distinctive feature is the portable charging case with built-in UV cleaning. Audien states that the case sanitizes the hearing aids while they charge and that charging normally takes approximately 4–6 hours. The company's Comfort+ design is intended to keep the devices small and discreet inside the ear.

As an OTC hearing aid, Atom Pro 2 is intended within a U.S. product category created for adults 18 and older with perceived mild-to-moderate hearing loss. FDA guidance emphasizes that OTC devices are not intended for severe or profound hearing loss; people with more significant hearing difficulty or concerning ear symptoms should seek professional evaluation.

Audien Atom Pro 2 features and specs

The Audien Atom Pro 2 is a rechargeable over-the-counter hearing aid designed for adults who want a small in-ear device with simple controls and preset sound programs. In the U.S., Audien currently sells the Atom Pro 2 for $289 per pair. It includes a portable charging case, four listening modes, background-noise reduction, and built-in UV cleaning.

Its four preset modes are designed for conversation, restaurant, TV, and outdoor situations. The device uses Audien’s A2 sound chip, which the company says adjusts sound dynamically to changing environments. Unlike app-based self-fitting hearing aids, the Atom Pro 2 relies mainly on onboard controls and preset programs rather than detailed smartphone customization.

Battery performance is rated at up to 48 hours of total use with the charging case. The case also includes UV lights that sanitize the hearing aids while charging, which Audien describes as a distinguishing feature of the Pro 2.

Regarding Audien Atom Pro 2 feedback noise, Audien markets the model as having background-noise cancellation that also reduces whistling. Independent HearAdvisor testing supports this specific strength: Atom Pro 2 received a 5.0/5 score for feedback handling, indicating very good resistance to feedback during its laboratory tests. However, its speech-in-noise score was much lower at 1.3/5, so strong feedback control should not be confused with equally strong performance in noisy conversations.

The device uses an integrated receiver and closed dome configuration in independent testing, and HearAdvisor found limited fine-tuning beyond the manufacturer’s preset fitting approach. It also does not support Bluetooth music streaming.

Overall, the Atom Pro 2 emphasizes compact size, rechargeable operation, four listening modes, UV charging, background-noise reduction, and excellent feedback control rather than advanced connectivity or highly personalized fitting.

How to use Audien Atom Pro 2: instructions and volume control

The Audien Atom Pro 2 manual shows that setup is relatively simple. The hearing aids use interchangeable small, medium, and large ear domes, so users should first choose the size that creates a secure, comfortable seal. The devices are not left- or right-ear specific. Audien recommends inserting them gently and experimenting with the angle until they sit comfortably.

For Audien Atom Pro 2 volume control, press the button on the back of the hearing aid. There are five volume levels: one beep means level 1, two beeps level 2, and so on up to five beeps for level 5. The default is level 3, although Audien recommends starting low and increasing gradually.

To change Audien Atom Pro 2 settings, press and hold the same button for about three seconds. The four modes are Conversation, Restaurant/noisy environment, TV or road/vehicle depending on the manual version, and Outdoor.

For Audien Atom Pro 2 charging instructions, place the devices in the charging case; they automatically power off and begin charging. Green indicator lights mean they are fully charged, while red means charging is incomplete.

Common Audien Atom Pro 2 troubleshooting steps include lowering the volume if whistling occurs, checking insertion and dome size, cleaning the charging contacts, and replacing clogged wax guards if sound is weak or muffled.

Overall, learning how to use Audien Atom Pro 2 mainly involves getting the fit right, starting at a low volume, choosing the appropriate listening mode, and keeping the domes and wax guards clean.

Audien Atom Pro 2 rechargeable hearing aids: things to know

The Audien Atom Pro 2 rechargeable hearing aids are compact in-ear OTC devices aimed at U.S. adults who want a simple, cable-free daily routine without disposable batteries. Audien currently sells the Atom Pro 2 for $289 per pair and includes a portable charging case, a 45-day risk-free trial, and one complimentary 30-minute hearing specialist appointment.

Rechargeability is one of the model’s main selling points. Audien states that the hearing aids provide up to 24 hours of use on a single charge, while the case extends total use to around 48 hours. Charging takes approximately 4–6 hours. The case also includes built-in UV cleaning, so the devices are sanitized while they recharge.

The Atom Pro 2 includes four preset hearing modes for Conversation, Restaurant, TV, and Outdoor use, along with background-noise cancellation and the company’s A2 sound chip.

It is important to clarify the meaning of wireless. The Atom Pro 2 is rechargeable and portable, but independent testing reports that it does not offer Bluetooth streaming, app control, or wireless phone-call functionality. In that sense, it should not be confused with Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids.

As an OTC hearing aid, Atom Pro 2 falls within the FDA category intended for adults 18 and older with perceived mild-to-moderate hearing loss. OTC devices can be purchased without a prescription or professional fitting.

Overall, the Atom Pro 2 is best understood as a rechargeable OTC hearing aid with portable charging and preset sound modes, rather than a Bluetooth-connected wireless hearing aid.

Audien Atom Pro 2 hearing aids accessories

Audien Atom Pro 2 accessories mainly focus on charging, fit, cleaning, and routine maintenance. One of the most important is the Atom Pro 2 charging case, which Audien currently sells separately for $39 in the U.S. The replacement package includes the charging case, charging cable, and power block. The original Atom Pro 2 case also incorporates Audien’s UV-cleaning function while the hearing aids charge.

Another key accessory is the Audien Atom Pro 2 wax guard. Wax guards sit over the sound outlet and help prevent earwax, moisture, and debris from blocking the speaker. Audien’s support instructions explain that Audien Atom Pro 2 wax guard replacement involves removing the ear dome, pulling out the used filter with the blank end of the wax-guard tool, then inserting the new filter with the opposite end.

Audien Atom Pro 2 domes are also replaceable. Audien sells Atom-series ear domes for $12.99, with several styles and sizes available. Its Perfect Fit Dome Refill includes four pairs of domes plus two wax-guard tools containing four wax guards each. Audien notes that dome fit can affect comfort, sound quality, retention, and acoustic feedback.

For ongoing upkeep, Audien offers a Maintenance Kit compatible with Atom Pro 2 that combines replacement wax guards and ear domes. Audien currently lists a one-month supply at $15, or $10 through its subscription option.

Shoppers searching for an Audien Hearing Atom Pro 2 bundle kit should note that Audien currently lists an Atom Pro 2 Specialist Bundle in its U.S. catalog, while maintenance and charging accessories are also sold separately.

Overall, the most useful Atom Pro 2 accessories are wax guards, replacement domes, the charging case, and maintenance supplies, since they directly support fit, hygiene, charging, and consistent sound performance.

Audien Atom Pro 2: price in the United States

The Audien Atom Pro 2 price in the United States is currently $289 per pair when purchased directly from Audien. The official package includes two Atom Pro 2 OTC hearing aids, a portable charging case with built-in UV cleaning, free UPS Ground shipping, and a 45-day risk-free trial. Audien also includes one complimentary 30-minute Sound Check with a certified hearing specialist. Additional follow-up appointments are listed at $100 each unless they are included through an AudienCare subscription.

The same regular price is currently available through Walmart, where the standard package containing two hearing aids is listed at $289. Walmart also offers a bundle that combines the Atom Pro 2 with an ear-wax removal kit for approximately $296.77. Pricing and promotional discounts can change, so buyers may occasionally find the device below its regular $289 price.

At $289 per pair, Atom Pro 2 sits toward the lower-cost end of the U.S. OTC hearing-aid market. Unlike many prescription hearing aids, its advertised price does not include an in-person clinical fitting or an extensive package of professional audiology visits. Instead, the device uses preset listening modes and user-operated controls.

The Atom Pro 2 is rechargeable, so buyers do not need to purchase disposable hearing-aid batteries. Its charging case is included in the purchase price, which helps limit immediate accessory costs.

Overall, U.S. shoppers should expect to pay about $289 for a pair of Audien Atom Pro 2 hearing aids, before optional accessories, care plans, or additional professional support. Retail promotions may temporarily reduce that figure.

Does Audien Atom Pro 2 have Bluetooth?

No. The Audien Atom Pro 2 does not have Bluetooth connectivity, so it cannot stream music, phone calls, podcasts, or other audio from a smartphone. It also does not use a companion app for fitting or remote adjustments. This is confirmed by independent testing from HearingTracker, which lists no wireless features, no app support, and no Bluetooth streaming for the Atom Pro 2.

That means searches such as “Audien Atom Pro 2 Bluetooth,” “does Audien Atom Pro 2 have Bluetooth,” or “is Audien Atom Pro 2 Bluetooth compatible” all have the same answer: no. The Atom Pro 2 is designed as a simpler OTC hearing aid that relies on onboard controls rather than smartphone connectivity.

Instead of Bluetooth, users adjust the device directly. Audien’s official support page explains that volume is changed by tapping the button on the base of the hearing aid, while listening modes are changed by holding that button for about three seconds. The Atom Pro 2 includes four preset listening modes for Conversation, Restaurant, TV, and Outdoor use.

For anyone looking specifically for Audien Atom Pro 2 Bluetooth streaming, there is none. Audien’s own comparison materials distinguish newer Bluetooth-enabled models from Atom Pro 2, while HearingTracker notes that the later Atom X adds Bluetooth streaming and hands-free calling for compatible iOS and Android devices.

In practical terms, Atom Pro 2 is better suited to users who prefer a straightforward hearing aid without smartphone setup. Buyers who want direct streaming or hands-free calls should look at a Bluetooth-capable Audien model instead.

Where to buy Audien Atom Pro 2 hearing aids?

The Audien Atom Pro 2 is widely available in the United States through Audien’s own website and several major retailers. The most direct option is Audien Hearing’s official U.S. website, where the Atom Pro 2 is currently listed at $289 per pair. Direct purchases include free UPS Ground shipping, a 45-day risk-free trial, and one complimentary 30-minute Audien Sound Check with a certified hearing specialist.

Walmart is another major option. Walmart currently lists the Atom Pro 2 at $289 for two hearing aids, with free shipping and a 60-day return window on the listing checked. Audien also confirms an official retail partnership with Walmart and says its products are available in select Walmart locations nationwide.

Shoppers looking on Amazon can also find the Atom Pro 2 there. HearingTracker reports that Audien offers the model on Amazon at around $289 per pair, although Amazon prices and seller availability can change. Because marketplace listings can vary, buyers should verify the seller, return policy, and included warranty before ordering.

Audien also lists retail relationships with Walgreens, CVS, Target, BJ’s Wholesale, Staples, Giant Eagle, and Walmart. Availability of Atom Pro 2 specifically can vary by store and location. BJ’s, for example, is confirmed by Audien as carrying Atom Pro 2 bundles in select locations.

Overall, purchasing directly from Audien or a clearly identified authorized retailer is the safest approach for warranty coverage and support. Audien’s protection-plan terms specify eligibility for devices bought directly from Audien or an authorized Audien retailer.

Audien Atom Pro 2 modes: things to know

The Audien Atom Pro 2 includes four preset listening modes designed for different everyday environments. According to Audien’s current U.S. product page, these modes are intended for Conversation, Restaurant, TV, and Outdoor situations. The device uses Audien’s A2 sound chip and background-noise cancellation to adjust sound depending on the selected mode.

Changing modes is done directly on the hearing aid rather than through a smartphone app. Audien’s support instructions say users should press and hold the button on the base of the device for about three seconds. The hearing aid then plays a series of lower-toned “boops” to indicate the selected mode: one boop for mode 1, two for mode 2, and so on.

The Atom Pro 2 manual maps the modes as follows: Mode 1 for Conversation, Mode 2 for noisy environments such as restaurants, Mode 3 for road/vehicle listening, and Mode 4 for outdoor use.

This is worth noting because Audien’s current marketing page labels one of the four environments as TV, while the manual lists Road/Vehicle for Mode 3. In practice, owners should follow the labeling and instructions supplied with their specific unit, since documentation can differ by version.

Volume is controlled separately from mode selection. A short press cycles through five volume levels, with one to five beeps indicating the chosen level; the manual lists level 3 as the default.

Overall, the Atom Pro 2 modes offer simple preset-based adjustment rather than app-driven or audiogram-based customization.

Audien Atom Pro 2 hearing aids technologies

The Audien Atom Pro 2 is a compact OTC hearing aid built around relatively simple sound-processing technology rather than app-based self-fitting or Bluetooth connectivity. Its core processing system is Audien’s A2 sound chip, which the company says delivers dynamic sound that adapts to changing environments in real time. Users can choose among four preset listening modes for Conversation, Restaurant, TV, and Outdoor situations.

Another important technology is background-noise cancellation. Audien says the Atom Pro 2 is designed to reduce distracting environmental noise and limit whistling or acoustic feedback. Independent HearAdvisor testing supports the feedback-control claim: the device scored 5.0/5 for feedback handling, although speech performance was weaker, with 2.3/5 in quiet and 1.3/5 in noise.

The device also uses Audien’s Comfort+ in-ear design, intended to keep the hearing aids lightweight and discreet. Controls are built directly into the hearing aids: users tap the base button to change volume and hold it for about three seconds to switch listening modes. There is no need for a smartphone app.

A distinctive feature is the portable UV-cleaning charging case. Audien says the case sanitizes the hearing aids while they recharge, while also extending total battery availability to around 48 hours with the case.

One limitation is wireless technology. The Atom Pro 2 does not support Bluetooth music streaming or phone-call streaming, according to independent testing.

Overall, its main technologies are the A2 chip, four environmental modes, background-noise cancellation, strong feedback management, rechargeable batteries, and UV-cleaning charging case.

Audien Atom 2 vs Audien Atom Pro 2 hearing aids

The Audien Atom 2 and Atom Pro 2 are rechargeable, in-ear OTC hearing aids designed for U.S. adults seeking a relatively simple alternative to prescription hearing aids. Both belong to Audien’s Atom 2 Series and share several core technologies, but the Pro 2 adds features focused on noise management, charging, and convenience.

The Audien Atom 2 currently costs $189 per pair. It uses Audien’s A2 sound chip, offers four listening modes, and provides up to 24 hours of battery life. The four modes are designed for Conversation, Restaurant, TV, and Outdoor listening situations.

The Audien Atom Pro 2 costs $289 per pair and includes everything offered by Atom 2 while adding several upgrades. Audien lists background-noise cancellation, improved feedback/whistling control, built-in UV cleaning lights, and a smaller physical design. Its portable charging case increases available battery life to about 48 hours with the case and sanitizes the hearing aids while charging.

Audien Atom 2: key features

  • U.S. price: $189 per pair
  • Listening modes: 4
  • Sound chip: A2
  • Battery life: Up to 24 hours
  • Background-noise cancellation: No
  • UV cleaning: No
  • Design: Compact in-ear

Audien Atom Pro 2

  • U.S. price: $289 per pair
  • Listening modes: 4
  • Sound chip: A2
  • Battery life: Up to 48 hours with charging case
  • Background-noise cancellation: Yes
  • UV cleaning: Yes
  • Design: Smaller in-ear design

Independent testing provides additional context for the Pro 2. HearingTracker rated it 3.6/5, praising ease of use and battery life but finding speech clarity, particularly in noise, less competitive than more advanced OTC models.

Overall, Atom 2 prioritizes lower cost and basic functionality, while Atom Pro 2 justifies its $100 premium with noise reduction, UV cleaning, longer charging-case battery life, and a smaller design.

Audien Atom X vs Audien Atom Pro 2 hearing aids

The Audien Atom X and Atom Pro 2 are rechargeable OTC hearing aids aimed at adults who want a compact in-ear design, but Atom X adds several convenience and connectivity features. Audien currently lists the Atom Pro 2 at $289 per pair and the Atom X at $389 per pair in the U.S.

The Atom Pro 2 uses Audien’s A2 sound chip and offers four preset listening modes for Conversation, Restaurant, TV, and Outdoor use. It also includes background-noise cancellation and a portable charging case with built-in UV cleaning. However, it does not support Bluetooth streaming or hands-free calling.

The Atom X uses the newer A2 MAX chip and introduces CaseControl, a touchscreen built into the charging case. Users can adjust volume from 1–10, select Comfort, Conversation, Crowd, or TV modes, and check battery information without using a smartphone app. Atom X also adds Bluetooth streaming and hands-free calling for compatible iOS and Android devices.

Battery performance differs as well. Independent testing lists Atom Pro 2 at up to 24 hours per charge, compared with about 12 hours for Atom X, although Atom X’s case provides additional recharges and Audien advertises more than 48 hours of total case-supported use.

Independent HearAdvisor testing gave both models a 3.3/5 SoundScore. Neither performed particularly well for speech in noisy environments, although Atom X performed better in quiet listening and offers much stronger wireless functionality.

Overall, Atom Pro 2 is the simpler and cheaper option, while Atom X costs $100 more but adds Bluetooth, hands-free calls, touchscreen controls, and more convenient handling.

Audien Atom Pro: app for Android and iOS

The Audien Atom Pro 2 does not use a smartphone app on either Android or iOS. Independent testing from HearingTracker confirms that the Atom Pro 2 has no app support, no Bluetooth streaming, and no other wireless features. Instead, volume and listening modes are controlled directly from the hearing aids themselves.

This is important because Audien does offer an official app, but it is for a different product. The Audien ion Pro app is available on both Google Play and Apple’s App Store and is specifically designed for the Audien ion Pro hearing aid, not for the Atom Pro 2. On Android, the app lets ion Pro users select a hearing profile, adjust volume, choose environmental modes, and manage noise-reduction and transparency settings.

The same Audien ion Pro app is also available for iPhone. Apple’s U.S. App Store lists it as compatible with iOS 15.0 or later, and Audien Hearing is identified as the developer.

For Atom Pro 2 users, settings are handled manually. Audien’s product page lists four preset listening modes—Conversation, Restaurant, TV, and Outdoor—along with its A2 sound chip and background-noise cancellation.

So, if you are searching for an Audien Atom Pro app for Android or iOS, there is currently no dedicated app for that model. The Atom Pro 2 is designed as a simpler, standalone OTC hearing aid with onboard controls rather than app-based customization. Audien’s app ecosystem currently applies to its ion Pro line instead.

Audien Atom Pro 2 return policy

The Audien Atom Pro 2 return policy includes a 45-day risk-free trial for purchases made directly from Audien Hearing in the United States. The 45-day period begins on the date the customer receives the shipment, not the purchase date. If the Atom Pro 2 is not suitable, Audien allows it to be returned for a refund within that window.

Returns must be authorized in advance by Audien’s customer service team. Customers should contact Audien by phone, text, or email before sending the hearing aids back. Audien states that unauthorized returns will not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer. Return requests during the trial period also require either a phone call with support or a video appointment with a hearing specialist.

Customers are generally responsible for return shipping costs, which can vary by location. After Audien receives the hearing aids, the company says the inspection process usually takes 3–5 business days. Refunds are then issued to the original payment method, although the exact posting time depends on the bank or card issuer.

Returns requested or received after 45 days are not eligible for a refund. If the Atom Pro 2 was purchased from Walmart, Amazon, or another third-party retailer, Audien does not process the return directly; customers must follow that retailer’s own return policy.

Accessories have separate rules. Unopened accessory packs and ear-cleaning products can be returned within 45 days, but opened or unsealed accessories are generally nonrefundable.

Overall, buyers should keep the packaging, request authorization before shipping anything back, and start the return process well before the 45-day deadline.

Audien Atom Pro 2 warranty information

The Audien Atom Pro 2 is covered by Audien Hearing’s one-year limited warranty in the United States. The warranty lasts 12 months from the original delivery date and covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use. Coverage applies not only to the hearing aids themselves, but also to internal electronics, the charging case, and incorporated hardware.

If Audien confirms a manufacturing defect, the company may repair the device or replace it with a new or refurbished unit of equivalent performance at no cost. The warranty is limited to the original purchaser or qualifying original gift recipient and is not transferable. Proof of purchase is required.

Several exclusions are important. The standard warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, improper cleaning or maintenance, wax buildup, unauthorized repairs, water or sweat damage, theft, loss, cosmetic damage, or use of incompatible third-party accessories. Consumable items such as domes, tips, wax guards, and batteries are also excluded. Audien states that proper maintenance is required and that poor care can void warranty protection.

To submit a claim, customers must contact Audien support, provide proof of purchase and the device serial number when applicable, and complete troubleshooting with customer service before the claim is processed. Audien also requires customers to use its authorized return label for warranty shipments.

For broader protection, Audien offers the optional AudienCare subscription. It can extend coverage beyond the standard warranty and includes protection against accidental damage, water damage, theft, and loss. For Atom Pro 2 replacement claims, the current deductible is $49, with a maximum of two replacement claims in a rolling 12-month period.

Audien Atom Pro hearing aids and insurance compatibility

Audien Atom Pro hearing aids are generally sold as self-pay OTC hearing aids rather than devices billed directly through insurance. Audien’s own U.S. website states that its hearing aids are not covered by insurance through the company, although customers can use eligible FSA and HSA cards at checkout.

  • For people with Original Medicare, hearing-aid coverage is limited. Medicare states that Parts A and B do not cover hearing aids or hearing-aid fitting exams, so beneficiaries normally pay the full cost themselves. Some diagnostic hearing and balance exams can be covered under Part B when medical criteria are met, but the hearing aids themselves are excluded.
  • Medicare Advantage plans are different. Some Part C plans include additional hearing benefits that Original Medicare does not provide. Coverage can vary by insurer, plan, approved retailer, hearing network, and annual allowance, so an Audien Atom Pro purchase may or may not qualify for reimbursement. Buyers should check their plan before ordering.
  • Medigap generally does not help with hearing aids, because these policies mainly supplement services covered by Original Medicare. Medicare specifically lists hearing aids among items Medigap plans generally do not cover.
  • Medicaid may provide hearing-aid benefits, but eligibility and covered products differ by state. Federal Medicaid information confirms that hearing aids can be among services offered beyond Medicare benefits, particularly for eligible beneficiaries.
  • For private insurance, coverage is plan-specific. Buyers should ask whether OTC hearing aids qualify for reimbursement, whether an approved vendor must be used, and what documentation is required.

Overall, for many buyers, HSA or FSA funds may be the simplest way to offset the out-of-pocket cost of Audien Atom Pro hearing aids.
